Yeh, bare feet is a no-no.
Dress yourself properly for fuck's sake. Smart pants, decent shoes and an unembarassing top for work at least. What if your top client just walked in unannounced ? Or an investor comes in on spec having heard great things about you ? You're gonna slouch over to him in fucking flip flops and an ironic hipstech shirt with your hair all scruffy and try to pull off some kind of cliched 90s 'creative look' ? Bullshit.
People pay us good money to do what we do in this industry and we need to at least appear to the world as presentable and having some standards. If not then fuck off to Detroit and buy an 8 storey building and paint luminous mannequins. Either route is fine, but show some respect if you're coming to work in a shared space with people that have basic concepts of class and hygiene.
