Boy I can think of so many awesome cars I'd get in the 30k-40k range if I was to drop that kind of cash in a car. I guess if you must have 4 doors, all wheel drive, an automatic transmission, and luxurious interior this is a viable option.
Do you care if the car is fun to drive?
