Well, there's no question that pumping heat-trapping pollution into the atmosphere creates a greenhouse effect. This is pretty basic science, and can be seen by comparing the climates of different planets in the solar system.
The only thing up for debate is whether the world's 5 billion people, with their zillions of cars, constant burning of oil, massive electricity use, etc, are pumping enough to create such an effect.
Most scientists say its happening. However some people say it is all a conspiracy theory by evil governments who want to control us. Personally I remain undecided until I see a cat spontaneously incinerate or something.
