The biggest energy creating ingredients in 5hour Energy and Redbull is B vitamins. Almost a decade ago a doctor, a trusted personal friend as well, recommended to me to start taking a B50 supplement (basically all the b vitamins in one) because I was complaining about fatigue and depression. This was before energy drinks were really around

I remember the first one I took with a McDonald's meal on my way home from work. I was feeling shitty and tired, like too tired to sleep sort of thing, too much caffeine too so sort of nervous as well, And immediately after the meal I felt a huge difference, like night and day. I went from feeling like I can't go another day to feeling like it was mid-afternoon on a summer's day at the beach.

Reason being of coarse is the vitamins. I and like 90% of the people in the western world are not ingesting enough b vitamins. They are found in meats in our diets, its in a variety of other foods like ginger root but we don't enough of it (ginger tea is an excellent source of B6). Problem being that all the meat produced these days is severely lacking in B vitamins creating entire populations of people with vitamin deficiencies. All the processed meat and the commercially produced non-organic stuff does not have enough vitamins anymore. There's thousands of people who are fatigued and depressed almost all day because they aren't eating the proper nutrition.

In come the energy drink producers who take advantage of this and instead of selling vitamin supplements they turn the supplement in to a soft drink and tell everyone it magically creates energy...its the caffeine! no no its not.

I figure you can pop a B50 supplement and a multi-vitamin over the day with a coffee or a coke and you're set (three meals too). Fuck those designer drinks. They belong to the same companies that are trying to destroy the supplement and health food community for the sake of soft drink products.

    • plus you waste alot of $$$$akrok
