    VICTORY IS MINE!
    I got everything back. I haven't needed to reinstall any software so far. Master Collection, Office, Transmit - all good.

    I accidentally reinstalled the system instead of going to Disk Utility from the Snow Leopard DVD first. The next time I did it right. I have everything back so far. Browsers, iTunes library. I'm afraid to start Adobe stuff now.
