    How convenient mate!
I've been putting together a pc spec for the last couple of weeks.

Basically you want either a nvidia gtx 460 (1 gig preferably, but the 768mb is still a good choice) or the ati 5850.

Now these cards are around the £130 mark but everyone says spending the extra £30 for effectively double the performance is a no brainer. Spending £100 is just not economical.

    I'm going for the gtx 460 1gb (@ £130 - the gigabyte manufacturer version)

becuase it's a great card, but also if you get an SLI mother board you can later add another gtx 460 (which will be cheaper in the future) and double your performance.

The 460 series are considered the best bang for buck cards. They also overclock very well getting an extra 20-30% performance.

Also the nvidia cards have a feature called CUDA which allows the card to be utilised for general processing rather than just gaming (IIRC).

Also adobe apps seems to favor nvidia in terms of OpenGL and performance.

    Hope that helps dude!

    • Haha, yeah they've gone a bit hardcore. The 768mb one is still great, but the 1gb takes the lead in 1920x1080 gaming.Hombre_Lobo_2
