if you have indesign, it can make the procedure a lot less painless... if it's only a few-page document, export the pages as EPS files from quark, then place them in indesign, and export away... especially in osX, it's HELLA faster... otherwise, you can import your qxd files into indesign with minimal issues to fix (if any)...
