Her meant to say "Print is read", I'm convinced of it.
Hey Zooropa, David Carson, in 1993 (or 1994, can't remember) was in London. Mr Carson walked past Central Saint Martins Art School on Long Acre, London, looked through the window, saw some type sample posters on the wall, went in and asked Phil Baines (typographer, tutor) to tell the creator of those posters to get in touch with him.
The creator of those posters then got in touch via the phone number of the hotel that was supplied via Phil Baines. The receptionist put the creator of the posters through to the room and and David Carson picked up, listened to the caller's reason for calling, then said, "oh yeah, thanks for getting in touch, those are nice posters".
The creator of those posters then felt very awkward, asked if there was anything else, to which David Carson replied "ah.... no, no that was all". and the creator of the posters duly hung up, somewhat confused.
Please tell him I still have the posters if he wants them.
