^ I agree. And to add to that, LA is a great place and when you live here, you do become connected to the city. I left for about a year, and coming back felt ridiculously good. Better than it should have, honestly. So a big public 'goodbye' like this makes sense to me.
Most people won't ever go to his site and figure out what the boards are all about. It's the same thing as posting 'obama/superman' posters, or those stupid sharks that popped up everywhere for a while. LA is a canvas, this dude is just embracing that.
