Btw, the guy in the holding cell who informed us of our tresspassing charge had a badge, but wasn't in uniform, so I don't know who he was or whether he was a real cop or just a hotel employee.
We clearly made a lot of mistakes along the way here not demanding an attorney, or the police or asking the right questions or making the right demands, but it all happened very fast and at the time, just wanted to get the hell out of there. Since our heads have cleared, we realize in spite of our civil rights blunders, we might still have a legal leg to stand on and defend ourselves, at the very least on the matter of principal. A settlement would be nice, but right now, there are more important reasons for us to take action.
