Sorry to say it, but as it was wisely said in one talk that Mr. Stewdio shared with us not long ago, "if it is no fun, you are doing it wrong"
Not sure about your experience, but I lived in 3 continents, in many cities, even in different languages, and guess what... people IS different, food is different, the culture, socialising, everything! everywhere! yeah people still have 2 eyes (most of them) and legs, and many like fucking, drinking, eating, talking, etc...
Is like saying that comic sans and helvetica are the same. Yeah, both have "z" and are fonts, but if you cannot see the different I will say that you are missing something.
I will give you a hint, and you can do the fuck you want, as at the end of the they I am a cunt and what not
- try doing something that YOU like, because it sounds to me that you tried Italian food in Italy without being your favourite and went for raves without even liking psy-trance. If you do things to brag about it, or just because they are 'cool' or 'somebody said it was great' you have big chances of ending disappointed.
Maybe your thing is having McD in front of the telly watching a game. Nothing wrong with that. Or maybe you will fall in love with a tranny in Thailand. Maybe you never left your couch and you are still in the good old USA.
Best bet, don't pursue destinations, but happiness.
