"Yet they scream execution and treason when similar info is revealed about themselves."
That's called the monopoly of state power on violence. The State assumes it has the sole right to use violence, and it's generally inferred that people, in democracies, have granted their assent to this to allow for an ordered functioning society. What people forget is that "State violence" is more than just the Gestapo knocking on your door at 3am. It's also the use of systemic & economic means of control. Their is Economic violence (locking you out of different types of employment, locking you into an income class with no means of moving from it) and systemic violence. These also operate on simply the threat level as well and not just in action. You get threatened with attacks to your livelihood or means to move about freely for example. And we're seeing these so called "democratic" states in the Western World utilize these things more and more to larger extremes.
Of course I mention this in the Politics thread and the resident teabaggers call me a pussy commie or something, and post pics of Obama in joker makeup. Whatever. It means the terrorists have won, and probably did so in or about 2003. It's all a long slow slide down from here.
I see wikileaks as a last grasp attempt to point out this systemic takeover to anyone that will pay attention. Fat chance.
