dont worry about it too much, im sure there must be quite a few things like that around in the world..
i dont think off the top of my head that yours looks anything like a rip or too similar to someone elses logo though... it just looks like a logo its its early development stages.. why.. someone giving you shit for it?
its an obvious thing to add a dot to a shape make a human looking icon, ive done it myself for one of my jobs and its in my folio.
i wouldnt worry unless it looks TOO similar to something else.
