beware the friend who wants to start a tshirt brand.
i've been approached by at least 6 or 7 of these. none have followed through.
unfortunately the work arrangement you described is pretty common for tees. but you don't have to agree or do it. at least make sure your ideas are generic and could be sold to anyone, meaning nothing custom for her brand.
in my opinion if you're going to pump out a collection of ideas without any guaranteed payment, might as well print and sell your own, or try other outlets like threadless etc.
