I'm slightly amused by the arguments for 'sentimentality' surrounding the transition to eReaders. All the people I know who are actual regular readers can't wait for them, myself included.
I get the impression that it's the people who buy books by the yard and perhaps only read substantially once or twice a year who rue the medium's passing.
Or, at least, are being the most vocal about things.
