I full understand why you'd be all 'WTF' about the price, however, please consider the following...
1. This exact model was on sale for £253 the day before Apple announced the new model. I paid that price, I can't really go much lower.
2. The new model doesn't have 160gb storage. You can watch all your content stored on this Apple TV without the need to have your Mac/PC on. With the new model you need to keep whatever device/computer the content is streaming from up and running.
3. There's a huge community of hackers out there who've totally transformed this model. For instance — http://howto.wired.com/wiki/Hack…
4. The new model has dropped the Component connection, it features HDMI only. This model has both.
