Basically it's a commercial that spreads a false impression.
We aren't in debt because of the stimulus, health care bill, or any of the things they mentioned. China themselves had a stimulus bill as a response to the financial crisis.
The real reason is politicians, starting with Reagan, passing massive tax cuts while continuing to increase spending. Of course it doesn't make as appealing a commercial to tell everyone their taxes need to go up. That would be too difficult a truth to face:)
