For millenniums, other countries wanted access to Korea because of it's central geographical location in Asia. Probably the same reason why the U.S. has a interest in the area.
What bothers me is that because of outside influences, Korea is divided in two today where families have been seperated and now they are at war with each other.- same thing happens in other Asian countries like HKs segregation from the farmershonestIy
