Rajoelina's personal fortune derives from the wealth of his wife's family. The son of a colonel and a high school drop-out, by age 20 Rajoelina was working as a disc jockey in various clubs and bars around Antananarivo. He soon gained prominence after establishing his own radio station, Viva Radio, and a successful advertising company. He earned the nickname "TGV" after the French high-speed train, which he later continued to use as the name of his political movement.
