    That might be a great idea, if people hadn't moved on from numbers–when was the last time you used an actual phone number for someone you call regularly from your mobile?

    The type of people (outwith hipsters, obviously) who might be tempted by a phone like this, will likely just go for a 'real' phone from about 10 years ago. Cheaper & better.

    The Nokia 6310i, for instance.

    What's wrong with txt-messaging, anyway? That's essentially a modern telegraph message, and predates telephony by over a hundred years. THAT's practical.

    If they hadn't come out with a fucking gold-plated version, I might believe this product was intended as something more than some neue-retro accessory.
