for the UK bank account try lloyd's or HSBC - when I first moved here I went to three banks - all of whom would not give me a debit card becasue I had no credit history here. Even though I was depositing £8000. Fuck them. Lloyd's hooked me up with no worries. Have also heard good things about HSBC.
So you're planning on working for straight cash or what? No visa = no national insurance number = no way to tax you = very wary employers
Or is the plan to run everything through your CA business? Then I think you'll be ok. But I'm no expert, I only play one on TV.
