kinda funny that people actually think this decision really has to do with battery life..
do you think apple would be making decisions like this if jobs weren't at the helm? hello no, nobody at that company has the balls or the celebrity he has to pull that kind of nonsense.
this is a strategic move. if it weren't, he could have just warned that processor-intensive applications/runtimes like flash would considerably lower battery life, but making the decision for the end user is a completely different tactic.
i could really care less though. when i get my macbook air, i may not even install flash, if not to save battery life, then at least because most of the sites i'd visit on there wouldn't use it. however, i won't let any of that bias allow me to kid myself about why jobs made that decision for me, but i'll continue to laugh and enjoy these threads while many of you do.
