    there is something to be said for their smugness, it might just be a self satisfaction of being able to healthily balance your life by using a very restricted diet.

    it is a hard slog to be a vegan, you can hardly eat anything from shops or restaurants, you nearly always need to prepare and bring your own food to parties..

    there is a lot of convenience in food that even we vegetarians take for granted.. i go shopping, i buy faux meat or tofu or whatever.. or frozen pizza..

    its easy to cook..

    sure its not as healthy as vegan food, i have to be honest, i am a pretty unhealthy vegetarian.. i am definitely not going to be posterboy for any vegetarian campaign anytime soon.

    but yep, i just dont have the patience to be that strict with food.

    so in that respect, i think if you can balance all the prep and bullshit that actually goes with being vegan, and get that to work for you nutritionally, i guess you would probably derive some level of self satisfaction, which could be misread as smugness.

    then there are people like moby..

    he ruins it for all the others.
