  Quick check on google for core 2 duo notebooks w/ smallish screens:

  MSI X-Slim X350: $874
  Dell Vostro v13: $499
  Panasonic Toughbook 12": $1734
  Asus ASUS UL30A-A2: $799

  So apple is on the high range, but nowhere near the highest, like usual. The $200-400 netbooks all have atom cpus. I don't see where Apple is overcharging, unless you're one of those jerks that thinks good design should be free.
