  You can have both and in fact increase the battery life.

  It's what the 10 and 12-hour Ultraportable laptops do. They use Nvidia's Optimus to change between low-power integrated on the i3 and the GT310, GT320 and GT335M when needed.

  • and then there's the limited footprint... that works with 15" but not 13". seriously, read that article.kpl
