Isn't it kind of bizarre that Americans can claim to be ultra Christian and also participate in an economic system based so heavily on debt?
The Bible went to great lengths to make the point that the entire idea of loaning money for profit is against God and should be condemned:
- Good thing I'm not religious and actually employ logic in argument.********
- banking and its root in religion is an interesting evolutionary thing. was it done in good intention? who knows********
- very interesting aspect though. probably a good intention by many turned bad by few for power/money. like unions********
- It's just interesting that the negative aspects of it were so apparent at the time the Bible was writtenukit
