Money is a yard stick.
We just need to make sure that other 'yard sticks' are available and that these alternative measures are given enough emphasis to make sure that we can all keep perspective.
If money is the only yard stick, the world situation is out of balance and it's difficult to ensure that 'good' things are able to happen often enough.
