Pick a company that has a good reputation that they want to preserve - and is large enough to care if everything goes tits up. You need to be able to demand better service - a smaller company might be less able to offer a solution some of the time. Having said that 1and1 do not follow this rule. They absolutely break it .. a large company who blatantly don't give a damn.
