Speaking of .txt files...
If you open a new .txt file, and type ".LOG" (without quotation marks) on the first line, and then save the file as "Log" (no quotation marks) - then every time you open it, it will log the date and time automatically on the next line, awaiting your comments or notes.
I have no idea what you'd use this for, but it works.
