I do math on the page size / margins, then calculate rough column width w/ gutters, then I use "create guides" based on those calculations.
- It does that automatically when you create a new document, though. Or I'm not following.monospaced
- What do you mean? I mean that I figure out my proportions based on the rhythm and copy / images used.brains
- In which, if you create guides and "snap to margins" they can be slightly imprecise.brains
