    Does it have to be 1tb?
    Speed seems all the rage over volume these days.

    A solution I really fancy is mine.
    Which is this:

    1. An SSD drive large enough to house your OS, apps, fonts and the projects you work on daily. Times two (SSDs needs it).
    2. Get an Optibay or similar, and fit it with a drive large enough to house everything else. Old projects, mp3s, etc..

    You'll have to live without your dvd player being built into your mb to instead have it as a freestanding unit. Very, very small price to pay.

    • The drive for number 2 doesn't have to be the most expensive.
      Number 1: any intel is fairly reliable.
