I usually tell a big fat white lie in these situations.
"hmm not too sure about that one.. I remember him looking at this one poster that looks a lot like that.. and saying that there was something about it that really bothered him. But fear not cos I recently saw something that he'd LOVE.." at which point you send her a link to your own online art shop of course :P
