  Facts and trivia:
  Germany never formally accepted the Oder-Neiss eastern border with Poland. The post WW2 Yalta and Potsdam Conferences left this to be resolved in a peace treaty between the two countries which never materialized.

  • There was a treaty of 1970 ratified by Germany in 1972. They acknowledged the border, but balked at accepting it.raf
