Weren't you sitting on a goldmine iCanhasqbn? If you're planning to move, buy the fastest i7 laptop with SSD and an external monitor, this will make it much easier for you when crossing the pond.
I've had a MacBook Pro + monitor setup for years now, this is best of both worlds.
