a few years ago i did a poster for a movie making the festival circuit that was pretty conceptual and a CD i know said it was even award-worthy. several months later another agency did a poster for a pretty big movie that totally ripped it off. like, straight up RIP. i thought it was funny and forgot about it.
so i'm applying at an agency i'd really like to get into and i'm perusing their work in order to have some research under my belt so i can wow them in the interview, and it turns out they're the same damn agency that ripped my piece.
i'm about to fire off an email with samples in it and i want to know, should i include my original and show my shit is the shit and it's so good they're ripping me off, or leave it out and avoid the whole awkward moment?
- leave it in there but don't draw any extra attention to it... ...maybe even include the years your pieces were created...PonyBoy
- ... so they know you didn't rip THEM... ... and see if it plays out. If they blow you off because of it - they're not worth...PonyBoy
- ... your time anywayPonyBoy
- Leave in there********
