Well my main reason for getting a laptop is so I'm bot confined to any particular location, home studio, cafe's, libraries, over head lights etc...
However I get the feeling when people talk about the glossy display being annoying outside, that they literally mean under direct sunlight :) in which case an anti glare matte screen would also be useless.
I plan on using my laptop more regularly than my home desktop...
I use an iMac (glossy) at my home studio heaps, and there are lights pointing directly at the screen... A few time's i've noticed my sexy mug in the reflection, but not enough to care.
