I got it too. I was never a huge fan of Halo games, but played through most of them. The campaign is really good, definitely the best of the series. The environments are huge and open, so you're never fighting in small corridors like in some previous games. The backdrops are beautiful and insanely detailed, the view distance is a lot longer. The levels in this one are a bit more "realistic" and down to earth, textures on things are worn out and not as shiny as before. The gameplay, controls, weapons and enemies are the same old. I never liked the Halo controls, they seem really clunky compared to Call of Duty. Firefight is pretty fun.
