a. not design work but I've booked shows by hollering at people through twitter when they say something in passing about my artist. If I followed more desingers, I'd probably holler at people I knew were not working on something else just because I see their name pop up.
b. It's a good source for community information that won't crush your world if it isn't true or happens to be wrong. It's a better source of entertainment. Comedians can have really awesome feeds. Good for when you don't want to talk to someone and you don't want to pretend text. You can either read your email -- or read your twitter. This happens often for girls -- especially if they're out by themselves. The phone is a good way to ignore someone annoying you.
c. A bunch, but only when I'm idle or waiting on something. But, I rotate between twitter and various RSS feeds for basically the same purpose.
d. A few times a day. Sometimes not at all if I'm really busy.
