I'm so pumped for this winter, it can't get here fast enough. I rode three days last year up in Wisconsin, bought a whole new Burton setup (2010 Joystick, Hail boots, and Cartel EST bindings) and lost my mind the first day I rode it. Had never hit park stuff in my life and was learning rails pretty quickly.
There's a bus service that goes up to Wisconsin from Chicago that started up last year - 3 hours to get there, sleep on the way there, ride all day with new friends, and drink and watch videos on the bus tvs on the way back. Some trips are sponsored by Burton. It f'ing rules and I cannot wait.
They're hoping to do a trip to a place in the upper peninsula of Michigan this year that is about 9 hours from Chicago called Mt. Bohemia. it's been called the best backcountry skiing / snowboarding east of the Rockies. 275 inches on average every year, two lifts, all ungroomed.
Yurts to sleep in- nice :)WeLoveNoise
- I wish there was bus service from SD to Bear/ Mtn HighMiguex
