So the 'snob' guy I mentioned on the previous page...
Not only is he more or less my 'BF' (or at least has been for the last few years)... but he's also my neighbor - we can walk to each other's home's in about 5 mins...
About a month ago at 7:30am I get this phone call from him (I'd been asleep all of about 4-5 hours... worked into the morning - and he KNEW i'd be doing that as I was working on a joint project of ours (we have multiple joint-clients too... and that's really going to make this all shitty))...
Anyway- He lives w/his girlfriend - she left him on his ass that morning as his car battery was dead... and he knew about it the night before and did nothing about it... so she basically said 'too bad' and took off for work leaving him stranded... ... so of course he calls me.
It's early... but I'm up and at 'em for him... rush over to his house, pick him up and run to the autoparts store to score him a new battery.
Neighborly... friendly.... ... NORMAL... right? That's what we do for those we love and need help?... or am I mental?... cuz his girlfriend did basically fuck him that morning... ... so maybe I'm completely wrong here.
So - This last Friday afternoon I go out to my truck to run some errands. Dead... weak power... no turn over - dead battery.
Same scenario as him - accept it's friday afternoon @ 4pm... not 7:30 in the morning...
What sucks - both my brothers are complete Drunks... ... both have had their driver's licenses revoked and my parents both live in California... ... so family is out of the question. Another close friend doesn't even drive... so that's out...
... anyway - I ask the dude to help me out quickly... it'll take 20 mins to run me to the autoparts store...
Well... he blew me off completely friday night and I sat stranded.
I called yesterday morning - no answer. He hits me up on IM @ around 5pm in the afternoon saying 'saw you called - what's up?'... I reminded him I was stranded still... asked if he could help... ...
... "well.... the girl and I are going out tonight... it might be hard..."
TWENTY FUCKING MINUTES YOU PRICK!!! WTF???
Dude's ideas on 'friendship' etc have really changed these last few years... ... he used to be this sweet little hippy guy who just wanted to do some rad design, smoke the occasional joint and relax...
... now he's the fucking 'king' of interior design I guess - and he dresses like every other hipster now and makes fun of everything else that doesn't coincide w/what he's become...
... so fucking weird... so fucking sad...
... and I'm still stranded.
