I AM STILL GOING BACK AND FORTH WITH THE CLIENT'S ATTORNEY REGARDING THIS PROJECT. FTW!!!
I never hired an attorney for this issue and simply stuck to my guns responding to about 12 emails over the last 6 months. We are now going back and forth about me removing this project from my portfolio and I consistently tell them that as a work for hire contractor I own the authorship credit rights to the project and will not remove it from my site unless they'd like to pay me to do so.
I've offered to send them the final PSD file of the project a million times and they've yet to respond. It's been over a month since I've heard from their attorney - at the start all of the attorney communication demanded a response within 3-5 days, now the emails come around every 3 weeks, and I haven't heard back for over a month.
