Having essentially already started work before I finished uni, I didn't really bother with all the final projects - so I left starting my dissertation equivalent 'til about 8 hours before it was due. Even then, I remember being in the living room, after midnight, dossing around with my chums, smoking weed and drinking too much coffee. Not an ideal state.
Got a terrible mark, of course - but then I'd realised that everything I was learning was already out of date and borderline academic.
Still, I think I'm one of the few from my year to actually go on and achieve anything remotely of worth in the industry intended.
I've never made a good academic.
