I'm not trying to be sarcastic when I say this, I'm only looking at it from an outsider's perspective.
Looking at this Glenn Beck character, and looking at the very, very clear ideological divide in the US that is more or less based on clear-cut geography, is it _really_ worth keeping the USA in one piece as it is? It just seems to me that you should all agree to call it a day, and split into however many independent countries need to come to life to make everyone happy, and kind of work towards and EU-style arrangement, where there is free movement of people and goods between the newly-formed nations, whilst still retaining political independence (along with everything that comes with it) as sovereign countries.
I don't know, it just seems to me there's a very serious internal crisis going on in the US, and that this is the obvious solution that would make everyone happy in the long run.
