^^^ no, actually, its August and there is very little going on in terms of news.
Courts are in recess. Parliaments across the world are not sitting. David Cameron is on holiday. Sporting seasons are yet to fully get underway.. nothing much to write about.
They call August the "silly season" for news, for a reason.
