i think the second one out of the three.
here are my reasons:
#1:
the graphic is too high up. i prefer a t-shirt with nipple high graphics, rather than neck high. the graphic also looks like an eye winking.
#2:
this looks like it could be a free t-shirt, and is therefore neutral. if people asked me where i'd got it from i wouldn't admit to having bought it though.
#3:
i once bought a kingpin shirt with a 2-tone picture of tele sevalis on the front that looks pretty much like this. i had gone into the shop intent on buying a t-shirt, and convinced myself that it was cool. every time i have worn it, i have been complimented on it, but i feel like a sham. like i am trying to claim some of kojak's worth as my own. i also feel like i'm saying "LOOK AT ME" to everyone i walk past. i wear it inside out now. the other thing is that detective show nostalgia is over. starsky and hutch, columbo, shaft, even cagney and lacey have all been beaten to death.
having said all that. if you tilt tom's head up slightly, give him a beret with a star on, and make it a parody of those god-awful che guevara t-shirts, then i think you easily have an outright winner.
#2 and #3 look pretty expensive though. 2 would take 5 screens, right?
