Utilities > AirPort Utility > Select the AirPort > Manual Setup > Select 'Wireless' from tab menu > Radio mode
You can then bugger about with the protocol your AirPort uses. But note down your settings before you change them so you can set them back to how you originally had them.
Also - try and use a WPA2 Key not WEP. For some reason Apple products don't really like WEP.
