You know, I actually do understand the sentiment and feelings of those involved who find the idea disrespectful. I get it.

My problem is that a) it's Constitutionally protected, rigth there in the very first fucking amendment and b) the people that are getting the vapors over it are always the ones who argue that the democrats/liberals are always governing on "feelings" and "sentimentality" and that we have to abide by the "strict constitution".

Uh-huh. Well the law, the highest of the land by the by, basically says fuck all to your sentimentality, that their right to build a place of worship anywhere they please is pretty much guaranteed, and if we haven't sacrificed fighting for that for 200+ years, what has all the brouhaha been about?

The right for you to practice your inane idea of Bible Belt Christianity, your right to call my Catholic faith "devil worship" (and I have been told this by some Baptists & Jehovah Witnesses to my face) is just as protected as it is for these people of one of the three major Abrahamic religions to worship as they damn please.

And I love how you Republicans get all whiny. You're great at whiny.

Man up, get a fucking spine.
