As for this sentiment of, that's what America's like, we have this national conversation and we all weight in...well fine, if it's a meaningful argument. And not just a hateful one that doesn't even make any sense.
Yeah, how wonderful that we can all weigh in and declare our hatred of an entire race/ religion!
