Wait, you're the dude that came back from somewhere horribly hot and rural, right? Ethiopia?
Staying in your hometown for a year or two to get some money in the bank and some work in your portfolio sounds like a good idea. But don't get trapped into the idea that a marriage, two kids, two cars in the garage, white picket fences, etc. is the only way to grow up. There are a lot of things out in the world that you can do - and the suburban american dream doesn't necessarily have to be what you do.
