I have an app for my HTC Desire Android phone which has several of these programmes. You just point the camera of the phone at anything around you and it uses gps and image recognition to throughup all this "augmented" reality information about your surroundings, by linking to youtube and wikipedia and other stuff.

Pretty shit really, i never used it.

I have used TripIt however, to organise my travel itinerary. But i find that when you get to your destination, you have to have data roaming on which causes loads of extra phone charges. My phone bill from Boston, US earlier in the yaer was almost £300 because of my data roaming excitement.

Thankfully i'm reasonably wealthy so it wasn't too much of a big deal.
